Music Monday–You Make it Easy

I’ve enjoyed Jason Aldean’s You Make it Easy since first hearing it. While I was trying to find a song for this week that spoke to the themes in Mr. Darcy’s Compassion and it was an easy choice. However, I had never seen the official music video.

I was blown away. It’s actually three parts and you *have* to watch all three to get it. At one point, I thought the story in the video might be too sad to share. The song does have a bit of a bluesy tune, after all. I kept watching, though, and it was so worth it. I was crying by the end. It’s beautiful.

I wasn’t prepared for that plot twist. Were you? I love it though. The song specifically addresses a girl, but I think after watching the videos it’s just as easy to hear the song could be from the woman’s perspective and that despite the challenges in their relationship, loving him is easy. I think it suits Mr. Darcy’s Compassion very well and the hopeless romantic in me loves the theme of enduring love!
