This song frequently occurs on my play list and it always puts a smile on my face. Taking time to really consider the fact that my name is in the Lamb’s book of life–that it’s already settled and I WILL be in Heaven puts praise in my heart and on my lips.
As much as I love this song, I do think there’s an error. I know different churches teach different things about this, but I don’t think when we accept salvation that our name is *newly* added to the Book of Life. It’s already there. We’re just recognizing our position. (Revelation 17:9) Nevertheless, I enjoy this song immensely.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
