Large eyes, pretty shade of blue, tiny waist.
If the date is correct regarding when this was painted, then Lady Caroline would have been twelve years old. I think it’s interesting how adult she looks but I suppose they may have “photoshopped” even more than usual in the interest of making it look accurate for several years? It seems odd that they would commission a single portrait with her at that age in general.
