Ah. I have sailed from that port. Lovely picture. I wrongly assumed from the title on your email that the Halifax explosion of Halifax Canada was involved, but this painting of the English Halifax is much more pleasant.

You’ve got me confused. I didn’t think the English town had a port. I found image while looking for the portraits of the Canadian city in Nova Scotia. It is credited to an unknown Canadian artist, as well.
