I always think we start the beginning of the year full of hope. This song reminds me that my true hope is in Jesus Christ, not me and my abilities.
I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Psalm 19:8-9
