To be a Christian means accepting the grace and pardon provided in Jesus’ death and resurrection. In a world where things are based on merit, it can be easy for even the Christian that knows better to begin thinking that they’re not “good enough” for God. But that’s just it. None of us are. That is why it is all about grace and mercy. We didn’t get what we deserved.
Why would God do this? Because He loves us and we are His.
Still, You hear me when I’m calling, Lord, You catch me when I’m falling
And You’ve told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God
