Monday Reads

Here’s my list of reading this week:

dress finalFirst I get to read through my upcoming release, A Sense of Obligation, one more time.

Then I get to read some chapters from April Floyd’s current work in progress: In One Season

And unpublished writer Kay Kay’s Quill: The Education of Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth. It can be found on Fanfiction.net and DarcyandLizzy.com

and Sue London’s Fates for Apate, another part of the Haberdasher Series that I recently discovered and fell in love with.

Side note. Does the woman on the cover of My Lady of Deception remind anyone else of Belle French from the TV series Once Upon a Time? I’m a new fan to the series, having found it on Netflix. I’m dying for Season 4.

  1. I have watched Once Upon a Time from the beginning. Did you know that there was a one season spin off, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland? That also was enjoyable. It incorporated Aladdin and his lamp, etc.

    1. I’ll have to check out Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. One of my JAFF friends got really into this show months ago and I let her ramble on and on about and finally decided to watch it. I knew a good deal of spoilers before viewing and then my husband and I binge-watched 3 season in less than 2 weeks.

I’m so behind in my fan fiction reading. These days between writing and the kids I can’t sit and read every day like I’d like. So, I go on reading spurts where I just push everything aside for the sake of reading. Sometimes it’s JAFF and sometimes it’s not. The plus side to forum reading, for me, is that I can’t just read the whole thing at once. It’s really my favorite thing to do but obviously I can’t do that all the time. But then the downside is me compulsively checking to see if there’s an update! I’ll keep the font in mind for my next post over there and increase the size. Thanks for commenting!

  2. And thank you for bringing the fanfiction/DarcyandLizzy story to my attention. There are so many stories there that I rely on recommendations. I have to usually “copy, paste” and enlarge the font size as my old eyes strain to read the tiny size that is posted.
