It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Wordless Wednesday and this one isn’t. You guys! I’ve figured out this painting!

Forget that it’s supposed to be Ophelia from Hamlet. No, it’s every busy woman who instead of wanting to start the day and have to get in the shower (or tub) wished there was some way to sleep while bathing at the same time. As I mused on that this morning and if in the future there could be devices that did that (I pictured a sort of CT scan thing), I recalled this painting. I don’t know if Millais captured Ophelia, but he certainly captured me. That would be my exact expression of “I can keep resting my eyes if I don’t have to actually stand.”
Also, I haven’t forgotten about Mansfield Park. I’m still reading and hope to have more notes up for Falling for Fanny soon! It is Austen’s longest work and although I am a big reader, definitely the longest one I’ve read in a year or two, so I think that gives me a reprieve. It will spill over into part of March, but that’s just fine.
Gotta run!
Laughing! Thanks for sharing those thoughts. Put a smile on my face. Lovely photo and now the feeling is not one of despair when i view it.
