We have a canal near us that was restored and traditional rides were given. But a near miss with a hurricane washed out sections about 10 years ago. So I know you can still get rides on a short section but not sure if the others have been fully restored. Riding along the canal used to be very scenic near the border between NJ and PA and still is – you just might not have the canal the entire way.

Interesting! Canals used to be so important–and a revolutionary transportation development. They’re underappreciated now!
