Wiki says this: Pope Innocent IV canonised St. Margaret in 1250 in recognition of her personal holiness, fidelity to the Roman Catholic Church, work for ecclesiastical reform, and charity.
She died in 1093 from “grief” after her husband and eldest son were killed in battle against the English. Her feast day has been moved a few times. It is now celebrated on November 16, hence why I chose it for that day’s Wordless Wednesday. She was married to Malcolm III of Scotland. She was also step-mother to a king of Scotland, mother to three more Scottish kings, and mother-in-law to Henry I of England, who was the youngest son of William the Conqueror.
Not familiar with a lot of saints. Do you know what she was “sainted” for?
