She died in 1093 from “grief” after her husband and eldest son were killed in battle against the English. Her feast day has been moved a few times. It is now celebrated on November 16, hence why I chose it for that day’s Wordless Wednesday. She was married to Malcolm III of Scotland. She was also step-mother to a king of Scotland, mother to three more Scottish kings, and mother-in-law to Henry I of England, who was the youngest son of William the Conqueror.
